Health Claims Exchange

We are collaboratively developing the Health Claims Exchange (HCX), the first step to a Digitised Health Benefits Ecosystem.

A set of common e-claims exchange specifications and a digital platform to enable this exchange, HCX aims to ease the flow of information between payers and providers for faster, seamless insurance claims processing. It is being developed as a digital public good, in an unprecedented, transparent, and collaborative process anchored by 80+ volunteers from the healthcare, healthtech, and health insurance ecosy stem. They comprise our two online communities: The Tech & Domain Working Group, and the Business & Policy Guidelines Working Group.

Working with the HCX community has been a greatly enriching experience. Special thanks to the Swasth team for their welcoming nature and continued support in encouraging volunteers to make HCX a reality. HCX as an integral part of ABDM will soon be a reality for a lot of participants, and I personally will continue to help in the best way possible to make it happen. In our journey towards digitised healthcare processes and universal health coverage, HCX will make the patient admission and discharge process smoother for all parties involved.
